How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Last updated 31 October 2026

Who we are

UK Business Funding ("we", "us") is the trading name of the operator of this website. We operate ukbusinessfunding.co.uk and introduce UK limited companies and LLPs to business funders. For the personal data you give us through this site, we are the data controller.

What we collect

  • What you enter on the application form: business name, your name, email, telephone number, company registration number, industry, turnover and card sales figures, time trading, the amount requested and its purpose, and any notes.
  • If you proceed: business bank and card statements and director identification, sent to us or to the funder directly.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance. Analytics cookies only with your consent; see our cookie policy.

Why we use it and the legal basis

  • To contact you about your enquiry and assess suitability: legitimate interests and, where you tick the box, consent.
  • To assess your application and, where relevant, share it with a partner funder so an offer can be made: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
  • To meet legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks carried out by funders.

Who we share it with

Our in-house funders and, where a product is arranged with one, partner funders, strictly to assess your application; our hosting and form-handling provider (Netlify) and email provider, who process data on our instructions; and regulators or law enforcement where required by law. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data for 12 months from last contact if you don't proceed; application records for six years after a facility ends, for commercial and regulatory record-keeping.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent at any time by replying to any message from us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
