Business funding with the total cost shown before you sign.
We're a direct lender funding UK limited companies from £5,000 to £500,000: merchant cash advances, unsecured loans and working capital. Decisions in as little as 3 hours and funds in as little as 24 hours once your application is complete.
What an offer looks like
Move the slider to the amount you need. The total to repay is fixed on day one and collected as a share of your card takings, so quiet days cost less.
Six ways to fund a UK business
Most owners come to us for a merchant cash advance. When a loan, a working capital facility or asset finance suits the numbers better, we fund or arrange that instead.
Merchant cash advance
For businesses that take card payments. A funder advances a lump sum and you repay a fixed percentage of each day's card takings, so repayments rise and fall with trade.
Explore merchant cash advancesUnsecured business loans
A fixed amount over a fixed term with set monthly or weekly repayments. No property security on unsecured facilities.
Working capital
Short facilities to cover stock, wages, VAT or a slow month, sized on your bank turnover rather than your card machine.
Short-term business finance
Three to twelve months for a one-off gap: a tax bill, a large order, a deposit on a new unit.
Business expansion funding
A second site, a refit, new hires. Funding matched to a plan, with repayments shaped around when the new revenue arrives.
Equipment and asset finance
Hire purchase or lease for vans, kitchen equipment, machinery and fit-outs. The asset is the security, not your home.
Merchant cash advances, working capital and short-term finance are funded directly by us. Where a specialist product such as asset finance is arranged with a partner funder, we tell you before you sign.
Funding written for your trade
The cash-flow calendar, what our underwriters look at and a worked example, for the trades that come to us most.
From enquiry to funds in three steps
Tell us about your business
Two minutes online. Company name, what you do, roughly what goes through the till each month and what the funding is for. No credit search at this stage.
We assess it and decide in-house
A funding specialist calls you back, usually the same working day, confirms it's a fit and tells you which product suits the numbers. The decision is made here, not sent elsewhere. If it isn't a fit, you hear that too.
Review the offer, then draw the funds
You receive a written offer showing the amount, the total to repay and how repayments work. Decisions come in as little as 3 hours once your application is complete, and funds can be in your account within 24 hours of signing.
Why business owners choose us
Six things that make funding with us different.
We're a direct lender.
We fund from our own book. No passing your file around a market and waiting for someone else to decide.
The total cost is shown before you sign.
Every offer states the amount, the total you'll repay and how it's collected. No teaser rates and no fees that appear later.
Judged on your trading, not your paperwork.
Our funders look at what goes through your card machine and bank account, not three years of accounts or a business plan.
One specialist, start to finish.
The person who takes your enquiry handles your application and stays your contact after funding.
Top up before you've finished repaying.
Once a portion of your advance is repaid and your takings support it, you can draw more without waiting for the first facility to close. If you have advances elsewhere, we can look at consolidating them into one.
We say no when it's wrong for you.
Stacking advances, sole traders, a business losing money every month: we turn those down and explain why, rather than passing them on.
Who we can help
Five things our funders look for. If you have them, you're in the conversation.
You'll need
- A UK limited company or LLP
- Trading for six months or more
- At least £10,000 a month through card payments, or equivalent bank turnover
- A UK business bank account
- A director who can provide photo ID and six months of statements
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions owners ask us first.
Is a merchant cash advance a loan?
No. A funder buys a fixed amount of your future card receipts at an agreed price. There's no interest rate and no fixed term; you remit a set percentage of each day's card takings until the agreed total is reached.
How much does it cost?
Each product is priced differently, and the offer states the total in writing before you sign. A merchant cash advance uses a factor rate: £30,000 at 1.25 means £37,500 to repay in total, fixed on day one. Loans quote a rate and a repayment schedule.
How quickly can funds arrive?
Decisions in as little as 3 hours once your application is complete, meaning statements and ID are in. Funds can land within 24 hours of signing. Where it slips, it's almost always because documents arrived late.
Will enquiring affect my credit score?
Our enquiry form doesn't run a credit search. A funder may run one at the offer stage with your consent, and we'll tell you before that happens.
Do I need to offer my home as security?
Not on the unsecured products we arrange. Most funders ask the director for a personal guarantee, which is standard across UK business finance, and we'll make sure you understand it before you sign.
Can you help if the bank has turned me down?
Often, yes. Banks weigh accounts, credit files and security. We weigh current trading. A decline on paperwork isn't a decline on trade.
What do you charge?
No application fee and nothing before funds are released. The cost is the total on your offer, agreed before you sign. Where a product is arranged with a partner funder, any commission comes from them and doesn't change what you repay.
Who actually provides the funding?
We do. UK Business Funding is a direct lender: we assess the business and we fund it. The legal name of the funding entity appears on your offer, so you always know exactly who you're dealing with.
